BIOGRAFÃA
La familia de MarÃa Elena Etchepare Maurice tiene sus raÃces en el PaÃs Vasco y Alsacia, y de nacimiento es chilena.
Los estudios de escolaridad los cursó en la Deutsche Schule zu Santiago, donde aprendió idiomas, alemán, inglés y francés, además de una rÃgida disciplina que le ha sido también muy útil en su vida como artista visual.
Sus maestros de arte en Chile fueron Lea Kleiner, Bororo,Vicente Rioseco a los cuales siguieron otros profesores de papel reciclado y marmolado en Nueva York.
La inquietud de M. Elena por descubrir los misterios de la vida la llevaron a estudiar PaleontologÃa en el Museo de Ciencias Naturales de Santiago de Chile, estudios que marcaron un camino en esa búsqueda. El próximo paso selló definitivamente sus anhelos estudiando la carrera de filosofÃa en la Universidad Arcis de Santiago de Chile.
Pronto se nota un cambio en la obra de MarÃa Elena, las formas se sueltan, los colores se atreven y de a poco se acerca al surrealismo, donde puede tomarse la libertad sin esperar que se la concedan ( Meret Oppenheim )
De las múltiples exposiciones puede destacar una en ParÃs Francia, una en ValparaÃso Chile y los eventos en su Taller 7 del barrio de Bellavista de Santiago.
Sus trabajos fueron todos entretenidos, como el de productora del Mercurio, VyD, el taller “Hacer Papelâ€, junto a Lea Kleiner que tuvo muchas alumnas y mucho éxito, los objetos para los museos de Pablo Neruda y el Museo de Artes Visuales.
Actualmente es miembro de AIA Chile, colectivo internacional, miembro de Arteaxis, colectivo nacional, miembro de Apech y directora de Amechile, asociación de mujeres exportadoras.

The family of Maria Elena Etchepare Maurice has her roots in the Country Vasco and Alsacia, and of birth she is Chilean.
