Contemporary artist major Sigmar Polke however remains badly known of the French public. To question its photographic practices makes it possible to measure the importance of experimentation going back to the years 1960. Xavier Domino our present, not without humour, the broad spectrum of the protocols implemented and the results obtained.
With the description of the components of the “Polkographie” makes continuation a “not medium' S Land” where photographs and paintings are neighbourly; finally in “Photopolkie” the photographic one opens with a total comprehension of work, and melts its originality with the improbable crossing of Pop Art and Post modernism

For Poke a photograph is never finished one can transform it, to make it transfer to give him D different feel. Polke likes the accidents in the catch of sight, the development. C is the failure, the accident the errors, the ill treatments which interest it and which it emphasizes. Book only in French for the moment
